Summary
Are you a hands-on problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment? As a Logistics Sourcing Specialist, you will be the key operational link between our logistics vendors, procurement team, and internal stakeholders. Your focus will be on ensuring accurate rate management, timely invoice processing, and resolving discrepancies with urgency and precision.

This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to delivering results. While data analysis and system knowledge (SAP, Excel, etc.) are valuable, the core of this role is about execution, ownership, and driving operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the main point of contact for logistics purchases and payments on a site or regional level.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of transportation invoices.
  • Manage freight rate databases and ensure correct rate uploads following contract changes or tenders.
  • Troubleshoot invoice discrepancies and collaborate with vendors to resolve disputes.
  • Monitor vendor payment performance and aging reports to ensure compliance and timely payments.
  • Take ownership of logistics service issue resolution by identifying root causes, implementing corrective actions, and proactively preventing recurrence through process improvements.
  • Create goods receipts for fixed and variable logistics costs.
  • Maintain monthly fuel surcharges and spot rates in relevant systems.
  • Support procurement with spend analysis and vendor performance insights.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate purchasing policies and business controls.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with logistics, procurement, operations, and finance teams.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement, etc.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (preferably SAP).
  • Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, basic formulas; VBA is a plus).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Working language is English, other European languages are a plus.
  • Problem-solving mindset with ability to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional, international team.
