Optiver is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Treasury Assistant to join our expanding Group Treasury team in Amsterdam. This is a newly created position, which offers the opportunity to be part of a critical growth phase as we develop the Treasury function at group level. You will play a key role in supporting treasury operations for Optiver Holding and EMEA entities, contributing directly to the efficiency and robustness of our central finance operations.

What you’ll do

As a Treasury Assistant, you’ll support day-to-day treasury activities focusing on Holding and EMEA-level entities, helping us maintain financial control and liquidity oversight. You will report to the AmsterdamTreasurySpecialist and work as part of a growing Group Treasury team. You’ll collaborate regularly with regional finance teams, Mid-Office, and Risk stakeholders.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting in daily liquidity and risk management requirements across Holding and EMEA entities
• Assisting in FX risk management and hedging processes monitoring
• Assisting in short- and long-term cash forecasting and planning
• Identifying opportunities to automate and improve treasury workflows
• Supporting the integration of enterprise AI technology into Treasury workflows
• Preparing periodic treasury reports for senior stakeholders
• Supporting end-to-end payment processing and cash movements
• Collaborating with local treasury, finance, mid-office, and risk teams

Who you are

You’re analytical, collaborative, and curious—ready to learn in a dynamic, high-performance environment. Ideally, you have:

• Currently pursuing a university degree (with at least 2 years of studies completed) in Finance, Economics, or a related field
• 0–1 years of relevant experience internships or entry-level roles in Finance or Treasury are a plus
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Familiarity with data tools such as Python, Alteryx, or Databricks is a plus
• A clear and structured communication style, combined with a proactive, hands-on approach
