We are looking for a highly analytical and technically skilled FP&A professional to join our Finance team in Amsterdam. In this role, you will combine traditional FP&A expertise with modern analytical capabilities to deliver financial insights that drive strategic decision-making. You will play a key role in planning, forecasting, and reporting, while also shaping how Finance leverages data, automation, and scalable process to create value across the business.
What you’ll do
As a Senior FP&A Analyst, you will:
- Financial Planning & Forecasting
- Contribute to quarterly forecasts and multi-year financial plans.
- Build and refine financial models to support business initiatives, operational decisions, and investment cases.
- Management Reporting & Analysis
- Deliver timely, accurate, and insightful monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Analyze financial performance against plan/forecast, identify trends, and deliver actionable insights to leadership.
- Track and report key KPIs to Finance and business leaders.
- Business Partnering
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure transparency on costs and financial performance.
- Act as a Finance Business Partner, providing analysis and decision support to senior leadership.
- Process Improvement & Automation
- Drive improvements in FP&A processes, focusing on scalability, efficiency, and transparency.
- Lead the shift from Excel-based reporting to automated solutions leveraging SQL, Python, Databricks, and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx).
- Partner with global FP&A and Finance Operations teams to align on best practices across regions.
- Projects & Ad Hoc Analysis
- Provide financial perspective on strategic and operational projects.
- Support data quality initiatives and continuous improvement across financial systems and processes.
Who you are
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Data Analytics, or related field.
- 6 – 8 years of relevant experience in FP&A, business controlling, corporate finance, or management consulting, ideally in trading, financial services, or technology.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with a proven track record of turning data into actionable insights.
- Advanced Excel skills, and hands-on experience with SQL, Python, Databricks (or similar platforms), and BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Alteryx.
- Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP).
- Strong business acumen with the ability to partner effectively across functions and present to senior stakeholders.
- Self-starter with a structured, proactive, and collaborative approach.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
