We are looking for a highly analytical and technically skilled FP&A professional to join our Finance team in Amsterdam. In this role, you will combine traditional FP&A expertise with modern analytical capabilities to deliver financial insights that drive strategic decision-making. You will play a key role in planning, forecasting, and reporting, while also shaping how Finance leverages data, automation, and scalable process to create value across the business.

 

What you’ll do

As a Senior FP&A Analyst, you will:

  • Financial Planning & Forecasting
    • Contribute to quarterly forecasts and multi-year financial plans.
    • Build and refine financial models to support business initiatives, operational decisions, and investment cases.
  • Management Reporting & Analysis
    • Deliver timely, accurate, and insightful monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
    • Analyze financial performance against plan/forecast, identify trends, and deliver actionable insights to leadership.
    • Track and report key KPIs to Finance and business leaders.
  • Business Partnering
    • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure transparency on costs and financial performance.
    • Act as a Finance Business Partner, providing analysis and decision support to senior leadership.
  • Process Improvement & Automation
    • Drive improvements in FP&A processes, focusing on scalability, efficiency, and transparency.
    • Lead the shift from Excel-based reporting to automated solutions leveraging SQL, Python, Databricks, and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx).
    • Partner with global FP&A and Finance Operations teams to align on best practices across regions.
  • Projects & Ad Hoc Analysis
    • Provide financial perspective on strategic and operational projects.
    • Support data quality initiatives and continuous improvement across financial systems and processes.

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • 6 – 8 years of relevant experience in FP&A, business controlling, corporate finance, or management consulting, ideally in trading, financial services, or technology.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with a proven track record of turning data into actionable insights.
  • Advanced Excel skills, and hands-on experience with SQL, Python, Databricks (or similar platforms), and BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Alteryx.
  • Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP).
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to partner effectively across functions and present to senior stakeholders.
  • Self-starter with a structured, proactive, and collaborative approach.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
