Optiver is seeking a Procurement Operations Analyst to strengthen and scale our procurement operations. This role is central to ensuring our procurement processes run smoothly every day, while also driving improvements in efficiency, data integrity, and reporting. The Procurement function plays a critical role in enabling Optiver’s business strategy by ensuring that our key stakeholders have what they need, when they need it, always at the right price.
As a Procurement Operations Analyst, you will own the successful oversight of Amsterdam Procurement operations while also helping to build a more mature, data-driven and AI-focused global procurement function. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across Procurement, Finance, Accounts Payable, Legal, and business teams to streamline operations, support compliance, and provide data-driven insights that enable better decision-making.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Daily Procurement Operations – Own the end-to-end operational oversight of Procurement processes and data – supporting the sourcing team’s ability to procure goods and services efficiently. Act as the main contact for internal and external stakeholders on thematic issues related to the process to purchase, approve, renew and/or reconcile spend
- Operational Improvements – Continuously review procurement workflows and identify opportunities for simplification, automation, and increased efficiency. Lead projects to streamline processes and improve efficiencies for the business with an emphasis on embedding AI into our ways of working
- Data Integrity & Controls – Maintain clean and accurate procurement data across systems, ensuring compliance with policies, alignment with Finance and AP, and support for business leaders to have a clear vision of where their spending is.
- Reporting & Analytics – Develop and deliver spend reports, metrics, and dashboards. Analyze procurement data to identify trends, highlight risks, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Supplier Enablement – Act as the first line of support for greater supplier enablement activities, including catalog enablement, billing questions / discrepancies, and purchase-to-pay process issues, ensuring prompt yet sustainable resolutions
- Cross-Functional Partnership – Work closely with AP, Finance, Legal, and Procurement stakeholders to align on policies, resolve issues, and continuously improve efficiency in our ways of working together.
WHO YOU ARE
- Bachelor’s degree in operations, business, supply chain, finance, or related field
- 3-7 years’ experience in operations, ideally with a focus in procurement, supply chain, finance, or consulting. Additional preference for any experience working with or for a business intelligence or data analytics focused team
- Experience in building or improving processes, with an eye towards simplicity and efficiency
- Experience building and deploying AI-powered agents or automated solutions to optimize business processes
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data integrity
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage daily tasks while supporting broader improvement projects
- Proactive problem solver who can identify, escalate, propose and resolve operational inefficiencies
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced, technical environment
- Tool experience preferred: Coupa, Databricks, Cursor, N8N, Tableau or PowerBI
