Start your journey as a Project Officer at the European Medicines Agency (EMA) and contribute to financial transparency, cloud optimisation and digital innovation within an international and dynamic work environment.

As a Project Officer, you will play an important role in the further development of the FinOps practice within the Information Management Division of EMA.
You will contribute to the implementation of FinOps dashboards, promote collaboration between cloud platform teams, and support change initiatives aimed at cost-conscious, transparent and value-driven cloud usage.

Your responsibilities:

• Support the development, testing and improvement of FinOps dashboards in collaboration with the ServiceNow Platform Manager and external suppliers.
• Work together with platform managers and technical leads (AWS, Azure) to align tagging strategies, cost allocation and optimisation measures.
• Contribute to change and adoption activities related to FinOps by preparing communication materials, onboarding documentation and awareness campaigns.
• Maintain and update logs of cost optimisation actions, ensuring improvements remain visible and traceable.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement and maturity of the FinOps service.
• Support the Project Management Specialist/ Programme Manager with:
  • Projectplanning, progress monitoring and reporting.
  • Monitoring budgets and resource plans.
  • Organising project meetings (agendas, minutes, follow-up).
  • Preparing communication for project or steering committees.

Your assignment starts on 9 December 2025 and runs until 31 March 2026, with the possibility of extension until 14 July 2027.

As a Project Officer, you are a structured, communicative and analytical professional who thrives in a dynamic environment. You are able to keep an overview, even under pressure, and can easily switch between different tasks and stakeholders.

You have a natural interest in IT, cloud environments and financial processes, and you understand the importance of transparency and collaboration within an organisation. You are stress-resistant, result-oriented and capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a team.

With your attention to detail and sense of responsibility, you support colleagues and managers in achieving project goals. You also bring energy to change initiatives and help others embrace cost-efficient and effective cloud operations.

What you bring:

• A completed bachelor’s or master’s degree (minimum 3 years of university studies) in a relevant field such as business administration, information management, IT or finance.
• Up to 3 years of relevant professional experience in coordinating and organising projects or initiatives.
• Experience working with internal and external stakeholders, preferably in an international or technology-driven environment.
• Familiarity with FinOps principles (as defined by the FinOps Foundation or equivalent frameworks).
• Experience with ServiceNow dashboards and reporting, ideally in the context of cloud cost management or ITSM/ITOM.
