Our client is a leading data center platform operating across Northern Europe, delivering secure and high-performance colocation services. They are now looking for a Data Center Technician to join their operational team in Dronten, supporting the day-to-day functions that keep the facility running safely, efficiently, and in line with industry-leading standards.

In this role, you will be responsible for a wide range of operational and customer-facing tasks, from conducting daily facility inspections to supporting clients onsite with remote hands assistance. You will manage installations, cabling, and equipment decommissions while ensuring that the data center environment remains secure, clean, and compliant with technical and safety standards.

You'll work collaboratively with internal teams across multiple sites, interact directly with customers, and support scheduled maintenance and troubleshooting activities with vendors and contractors. The role also includes participation in an on-call duty rotation to maintain around-the-clock support.

• Perform daily facility inspections (power, cooling, security, access control, fire safety systems).
• Support customers onsite, acting as their point of contact for remote hands tasks, access management, and troubleshooting assistance.
• Execute installations, cabling, and decommissioning of customer and internal equipment.
• Monitor and escalate alarms and incidents, ensuring timely response and resolution.
• Maintain accurate and compliant documentation, checklists, and reports.
• Ensure the data center environment is safe, clean, and aligned with operational standards.
• Collaborate with vendors and contractors during maintenance or repair activities.
• Participate in on-call duty outside regular working hours (as part of the team rotation).

• Experience in a data center, technical facility, or IT operations environment
• Interest in facility systems (power, cooling, security) and supporting customers directly
• Ability to follow compliance standards and operational processes with precision
• Service-minded, proactive, and collaborative with a problem-solving mindset
• Fluent in English (spoken and written), Dutch is a big bonus
• Willing to participate in on-call rotation outside standard working hours
