Your key responsibilities

• You are part of the SIM Solutions agile DevOps team and working together with outsourced team members
• Improve the code base of the webforms (70%) and MVC stack (30%) by actively modernizing parts of the solution rated by functional value, technical value and effort; you are part of this decision making process
• You will work closely with internal agile development teams working on our other software & cloud projects connected with SIM Solutions
• Participate in support and maintenance activities (problems and changes)
• You assure to meet our DevSecOps standards & best-practices and translates and maintains this to the project's technical stack
• Open to expand your involvement in our latest stacks and peer with devs from our other cloud solutions
• All development and technical staff report directly to the CTO

Overall Skills

·Higher Education IT

·7+ years webforms & MVC development on a 10+ years running solution; hosted on IIS; you have running-software-at-production-experience

·You have experience with our stack: C# .NET framework, VM-hosted, multi-tenant, MS SQL server & EF

·You have the skills and experience to modernize a monolithic application and you have the drive to participate in this movement or you even lead this initiative in the dev team

·Focus on maintaining & improving SIM Solutions; open to fight technical debt and/or making features re-usable across our stack by isolating system parts

·Must-have-knowledge in all stages of software development; including CI/CD & automation

·Good communication skills and an active retrospective participant

·Nice to have: MSSQL & SMSS experienced on running production level workloads

·You are aware of the SOLID architecture principles for developing software

·Continues learning & applying on Security-by-design practices
