The senior electrical engineer takes responsibility and ownership of the cable tray engineering scope.
What will you do as a Senior Electrical Engineer?In this role, you’re responsible for the design, coordination, and technical execution of cable tray systems, ensuring efficient cable routing and seamless integration with all relevant onboard systems throughout the project.
Your responsibilities
- Developing and coordinating cable tray routing solutions for superyacht projects;
- Ensuring efficient integration with structural, electrical, and outfitting systems;
- Coordinating routing layouts and panel plans with the project engineer;
- Creating, updating, and maintaining detailed cable tray layouts and panel plans that comply with project specifications, classification rules, and shipyard requirements;
- Managing and maintaining equipment lists, ensuring all systems and components remain complete, accurate, and aligned with the overall design;
- Reviewing technical documentation, engineering drawings, and system data to verify compliance with project requirements, internal procedures, and industry standards;
- Coordinating the integration of electrical panels, equipment, and cable tray systems to support safe installation, accessibility, and long-term maintenance;
- Participating in design reviews, model evaluations, and multidisciplinary coordination sessions;
- Identifying and resolving technical conflicts;
- Providing technical expertise and practical solutions for cable tray routing, equipment positioning, and panel arrangements;
- Coaching and supporting junior engineers and designers;
- Contributing to continuous improvements in engineering standards and working methods;

What do you bring?You can control and manage engineering data related to systems, components, and equipment lists with a high level of accuracy. And as the next senior electrical engineer, you are proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
Requirements- You have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related technical field;
- You have proven experience in cable tray routing and panel planning;
- You have a minimum of 3 years of advanced experience in marine engineering or electrical outfitting design;
- You have a strong understanding of space constraints, installation sequence, and coordination with other disciplines;
- You are trained in AutoCAD, Cadmatic, and Teamcenter;
- You have a strong understanding of marine design practices, shipbuilding processes, and applicable class- and regulatory requirements;
- You have excellent communication and coordination skills;
- You are fluent in the English language, both written and spoken;
- You are eligible to work in the Netherlands.

Employment conditions- A gross salary of € 4000 to € 5700 per month;
