E-fulfilment Shop is a young, fast-growing e-commerce logistics company handling fulfillment for over 80 online stores. Operating from our warehouse in Ridderkerk (near Rotterdam), we ensure thousands of packages are accurately processed every single day.

As an Assistant Team Leader, you are the Team Leader’s right-hand person across both the Order Picking and Packing teams. You guide the floor, monitor process quality, and ensure smooth daily operations together with or independently of the Team Leader.

Your daily responsibilities:

• Team Support & Leadership: Assist the Team Leader with daily shift kick-offs and task delegation for both order pickers and packers. Step up to take charge of the floor when the Team Leader is absent.
• Warehouse Closing: Take full responsibility for the end-of-shift routine, ensuring all picking zones and packing stations are clean and the warehouse is securely locked down at 23:30 PM, including times when the Team Leader is not present.
• Quality & Progress: Maintain an active floor presence to guide pickers and packers, resolve operational bottlenecks (such as managing the issue shelf), and ensure all carrier cut-off times (e.g., DHL/PostNL) are met.
• Role Model: Set a positive example regarding warehouse safety, standard operating procedures, workstation cleanliness, and break schedules.
• Hands-on Execution: Step in to assist with picking or packing directly whenever operational volume requires extra hands.

Job Requirements:

• Own Transportation: You must have your own transport (car, scooter, or bicycle). Public transport from our location is not available after 23:30 PM.
• Availability & Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. While this position starts on an initial 7-month zero-hour contract, we commit to providing a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week.
• Working Hours: 14:30 PM to 23:30 PM (including a 1-hour break).
• Mandatory Shift: Monday is our busiest operational day and is required.
• Flexibility & Responsibility: Overtime is common when daily order targets need to be met. You are trustworthy and responsible enough to handle warehouse closing procedures independently.
• Skills & Mindset: Good communication skills in English, strong problem-solving abilities, experience or affinity with order picking and packing operations, and the ambition to grow within our company.

What We Offer:

• Salary: €16.78 gross per hour.
• Contract & Hours: Initial 7-month zero-hour contract with a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week. After 7 months, there is the prospect of extending for a year with fixed hours (leading towards permanent employment).
• Travel Allowance: €0.19 per kilometer for commuting.
