As a Declarant, you play a key role in ensuring import and export shipments move smoothly across borders while remaining fully compliant with customs regulations. You will prepare, review, and process customs declarations, working closely with customers, colleagues, and customs authorities. This is an excellent opportunity for a customs professional who enjoys responsibility, precision, and continuous development.
Description
- Ensure a smooth and compliant flow of import and export shipments
- Prepare, review, and submit customs declarations accurately and on time
- Verify customs documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance
- Interpret and apply customs regulations and procedures correctly
- Act as the link between customers, customs authorities, and internal teams
- Maintain accurate data and records in operational systems
- Identify opportunities to improve customs processes and efficiency
Profile
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a (Assistant) Declarant
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations and documentation
- Proactive, organized, and highly detail-oriented
- Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English
- Comfortable working with systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Able to prioritize tasks and perform well in a dynamic environment
- A collaborative team player with a customer-focused mindset
