We are looking for an Overhead Line Engineer to support the design and delivery of high-voltage transmission infrastructure projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who wants to contribute to the expansion and strengthening of the electricity grid while working on complex and technically challenging projects within the energy sector.
You will join a multidisciplinary engineering team specialising in overhead transmission lines, substations, and grid expansion projects. The department combines expertise in civil, structural, and electrical engineering to deliver critical infrastructure projects that support the ongoing energy transition across the Netherlands and wider European market.
As an Overhead Line Engineer, you will be involved in the engineering and design of high-voltage overhead transmission lines and substation interface structures. You will perform structural analyses and engineering calculations, prepare technical documentation, and support projects throughout the design, construction, and commissioning phases. Working closely with experienced engineers and multidisciplinary teams, you will contribute to the successful delivery of complex energy infrastructure projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Approximately 3-8 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Experience in the design and engineering of overhead transmission lines, steel structures, or related infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of structural analysis and engineering calculations for steel lattice towers, foundations, line loadings, and conductor sizing.
- Experience preparing technical reports, design drawings, and engineering documentation.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience supporting projects through design, construction, and commissioning phases.
- Motivated to further develop technical expertise within the power and energy sector.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Fluency in English; Dutch language skills are preferred.
- Experience with PLS-CADD, PLS-TOWER, RFEM, or similar engineering software is considered an advantage.
- Experience with Tekla or other structural design tools is considered a plus.
- Proactive and quality-focused approach to engineering work.
