E-plan Engineer

As an E-plan Engineer, you will develop and manage intelligent EPLAN configurations that enable engineering teams to work efficiently, consistently, and in a data-driven manner.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and continuously improving the configuration base within EPLAN and related engineering applications. You will translate user requirements into practical configurations, standards, and new functionalities.

• Developing and managing EPLAN structures, macro libraries, and design standards;
• Configuring and maintaining master data, including parts databases, project structures, and reports;
• Configuring and optimizing EPLAN Electric P8, Pro Panel, Preplanning, and eBuild;
• Developing and managing integrations with ERP systems, data platforms, and cable databases;
• Analysing user requirements and translating them into new functionalities and configuration changes;
• Supporting, advising, and training engineers and other EPLAN users;
• Preparing guidelines, best practices, and standardized working methods;
• Identifying and implementing process improvements and automation opportunities;
• Supporting the development of data integrations between engineering applications;
• Collaborating with engineering teams and contributing to organization-wide standardization.

You will work within a specialized technical organization active in the maritime, offshore, industrial, and infrastructure sectors. The Engineering and Digitalization department supports various engineering teams in making optimal use of design software and technical data.

In this environment, you will play an important role in the further digitalization and standardization of engineering. Your EPLAN expertise will ensure that engineers have access to reliable data, uniform design methods, and future-proof applications.

You are an experienced EPLAN user who looks beyond individual drawings or projects. You understand how configurations, master data, and standardized processes contribute to efficient and high-quality engineering.

• You have completed a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable technical field;
• You have at least five years of experience with EPLAN applications;
• You have extensive experience with EPLAN Electric P8 and EPLAN Pro Panel;
• Experience with EPLAN Preplanning and eBuild is considered an advantage;
• You have knowledge of engineering processes, data management, and configuration-driven design;
• You preferably have experience developing macros or automation solutions within EPLAN;
• You have an affinity with scripting, process optimization, and standardization;
• You can develop and manage complex technical structures and configuration rules;
• You are analytical, independent, and proactive;
• You are focused on quality and continuous improvement;
• You can advise, guide, and train users;
• You possess strong communication and collaboration skills;
• You are eligible to work in the Netherlands.

• A gross salary of €4,000 to €5,200 per month, depending on your knowledge and experience;
