Let no plastic go to waste that is the foundation of Fuenix Ecogy (Fuenix) a Dutch company that is all about circular technology. Fuenix upcycles plastic waste into raw materials, that can be used to create brand new plastic, which is 100% circular. With Fuenixs innovative advanced chemical recycling Ecogy Technology, mixed plastic waste is cracked into various Hydrocarbon fractions, amongst others pyrolysis oil. This gives a unique double advantage: first, the Plastic Producers can enable upcycling of end-of-life plastics that are currently hard to recycle. And secondly, at the same time Fuenix creates new high-quality raw materials. Fuenixs process not only reduces the amount of fossil feedstocks that we take from the planet, but also offers the opportunity to provide a solid solution for the worlds increasing plastic pollution problem. Furthermore, Fuenix has demonstrated that it can achieve 65% reduction in CO2 emissions (compared to alternative recycling methods).

Fuenix intends to make its advanced chemical recycling technology available to the world in a global roll out. Partnerships are key to enable this. Dow and Fuenix have recently announced that they are expanding upon the companies initial agreement to scale circular plastics production through advanced recycling with the construction of a second plant in Weert. The new plant will process 20,000 tonnes of waste plastic into pyrolysis oil feedstock. The polymers produced from this pyrolysis oil will be identical to products produced from traditional feedstocks, and as such, they can be used in the same applications, including food packaging.

Fuenixs mission is to make a positive contribution to a more sustainable future.
