About the job

As an International Trader, you will collaborate closely with their in-house team of Supply Chain Specialists to ensure seamless order processing and delivery. Your responsibilities within the team include:

• Continuously analyzing markets and identifying new business opportunities
• Establishing new trading relationships with clients and suppliers to expand your portfolio
• Creating and sending out offers and follow-ups on potential leads, and conducting ongoing negotiations while monitoring and finalizing pending orders
• Negotiating pricing, payment and delivery terms with both new and existing partners
• Developing in-depth market insights and becoming a specialist in your market by mastering pricing, products and margin optimization

Your qualities

We are seeking a driven, ambitious individual with a professional mindset for this role. While residing in The Netherlands, you should be willing to travel regularly to different countries for work, attending trade shows, meeting relations and building long-term relationships. Additionally:

• You have a Bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in a commercially related field
• You have 0-5 years of experience in a sales/purchasing/business development role
• You are fluent in English and Dutch
• You are comfortable with cold calling and approaching people
• You thrive in a role that offers substantial freedom and responsibility
• You maintain composure in the face of obstacles and challenging circumstances
