We are looking for a Data Governance Lead. Lead the implementation of Data Governance as a core business capability. Establish clear governance, ownership, and quality management of data to support the organization in achieving its strategic goals and compliance requirements as part of the Data Strategy Execution Program.

• Lead the project team in developing and implementing a comprehensive data governance framework.
  
• Collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization to align, integrate, and prioritize data governance initiatives.
  
• Facilitate the formation of Data Governance Steering structures and conduct regular Data Stewards Meetings.
  
• Ensure the project aligns with key capabilities such as Awareness & Ownership of Key Data Elements, Easy and Safe Access to Data (FAIR Data), and Managing & Improving Data Quality.
  
• Oversee the development and maintenance of data products, metadata management, and data quality tools.
  
• Implement training and change management processes to support data governance roles and responsibilities across the organization.
  
• Monitor and report on the project’s progress, ensuring adherence to the Definition of Done (DoD) for each project theme.

• A Master’s degree in Information Management or a related field.
  
• Proven experience in leading data governance projects and implementing data management solutions.
  
• Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, principles, and best practices.
  
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams and stakeholders.
  
• Fluent in English; proficiency in Dutch is a plus.
  
• Strategic thinker with the ability to align data governance initiatives with business objectives.
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  
• Effective communication and training delivery skills.
  
• Proficiency in data governance tools and technologies (e.g., metadata management, data quality, data lineage).

• Communication: Effective at conveying ideas and training stakeholders.

• Technical Proficiency: Expertise in data governance tools and technologies.

• Experience in a similar role within the energy sector or a related industry.
  
• Familiarity with the unique challenges of implementing data governance in a cross-border context.
  
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements related to data management.
  
• Prior experience with large-scale data governance transformation projects.
