Senior Metrology Process Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Metrology Process Engineer with expertise in measurement processes to join an ambitious and dynamic team. You will be part of the Metrology engineering cluster within our advanced manufacturing site in Eindhoven, the Netherlands!

Responsibilities
 
  • Provide support to manufacturing and design areas in developing appropriate measurement methods, including the implementation of new methods, analyzing existing methods, and executing training as required.
  • Lead, develop, and support measurement methods in compliance with quality regulations (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 14001).
  • Ensure compliance with the ESH policy, rules, and regulations, including cleanroom sustaining for metrology equipment.
  • Create, maintain, and optimize tool recipes, working closely with Product Engineering and Operations to understand requirements.
  • Coach engineers and technicians to enhance their skills and capabilities.
  • Support non-standard metrology requests as part of product development and root cause investigations, such as disposition batches with out-of-spec (OOS) measurements or production batches with measurement failures.
  • Perform and assist with GR&R (Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility) and comparison studies, generating summary reports.
  • Administer equipment calibration and program maintenance.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement efforts to reduce scrap, cycle times, improve efficiency, and eliminate waste.
  • Provide a customer service attitude when interacting with internal and external customers while achieving work, production, and quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe workstation and environment at all times.
  • Continuously develop your technological knowledge through regular contacts inside and outside the MMD department, and with suppliers and knowledge institutes.
Your Profile
  • You hold a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in an exact sciences discipline.
  • You have experience in process engineering and development.
  • You are proficient in reading and understanding engineering specifications.
  • You have experience working with or leading project teams in a technological area.
  • You are able to meet deadlines and have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, both technical and interpersonal.
  • You possess a strong understanding of QC and/or Six Sigma skills, such as Control, Run, and Pareto Charts, Histogram, Scatter Plot, Gantt chart, Fishbone Analysis, and Process Capability.
  • You have knowledge of fundamental engineering tools (DOE, SPC, FMEA, Problem Solving, Teamwork, etc.).
  • You demonstrate a pragmatic, creative, flexible attitude with a result-driven, can-do mentality.
  • You are aware of all relevant standard operating procedures as per company policy and support and contribute to Lean Sigma programs and activities.
  • You always comply with the company's safety and quality policy.
  • You have excellent communication skills and are proficient in written and verbal communication in English.
