About the job

As an International Trader for non-ferrous commodities with a focus on the French market, you will play a key role in driving the growth strategy of this company. Your mission will be to enhance the purchasing position in France by sourcing brass, aluminum, e-motors, and copper from key partners across the region.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Analyzing market trends and providing strategic insights to keep the company ahead of the competition;
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential clients, ensuring trust and mutual success;
• Confidently navigating ever-changing market conditions while remaining attentive to suppliers' specific needs;
• Overseeing high-value weekly trades, utilizing both market intelligence and internal data to make informed decisions;
• Leading negotiations, setting competitive pricing, and ensuring smooth purchasing, delivery, and settlement processes;

You’ll be joining a team of 12 traders, working collaboratively across the Dutch, French, and German markets. Your qualities

For the role of International Trader focusing on the French market, I am looking for someone who is fluent in French. A driven professional with a commercial mindset and a passion for sustainability will thrive in this position. You excel at building relationships and are comfortable in a dynamic environment where quick thinking and decision-making are essential.

You have:

• A bachelor's degree;
• Up to five years of commercial experience (trading experience is a strong plus);
• Excellent relationship-building skills;
• Fluency in French, proficiency in Dutch and/or English is an advantage;
• A driven, results-oriented mindset;
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
