We are looking for an organized and results-driven Fleet Maintenance Manager to oversee ship repair and conversion projects for a global leader in the maritime and offshore industry. In this position, you will oversee the complete maintenance, repair and upgrade process for vessels, ensuring timely completion, staying within budget and adhering to high quality and safety standards.

Specific duties in this role include:

• Manage all aspects of vessel maintenance and upgrade projects, from planning to delivery. Ensure tasks are completed efficiently and meet strict timelines, budgets and quality standards.
• Lead and support the project team, provide feedback and foster a collaborative work environment.
• Work closely with technical teams, procurement, and vessel managers to coordinate tasks and maintain clear communication about progress and costs.
• Monitor budgets, manage change requests and ensure cost optimization throughout the project.
• Oversee contracts with shipyards and subcontractors, handle additional work requests and ensure all agreements are followed.
• Provide weekly updates to senior management and track project milestones.

• A technical education and at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Background in repair or conversion projects in the onshore or offshore sector (preferred).
• Strong financial management and project planning skills.
• Proven leadership abilities to build and guide effective project teams.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Willingness to work in the office during project preparation (7 to 9 months/year) and on-site during project execution phases.
• Flexible to relocate to Belgium.
