As the Senior (Lead) Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of an engineering team, managing subcontractors responsible for developing the Basic and Detailed Engineering package. This role offers opportunities to apply your expertise across multiple disciplines while fostering continuous professional growth.

Your work includes

Working on ship designs and development;
Coordinating and managing subcontractors for basic and detailed engineering;
Developing designs, specifications, and detailed and working drawings according to procedures and standards;
Recording and archiving designs, drawings, and project-related information;
Structural design and integration of steel equipment and constructions;
Preparing construction plans and deck layouts;
Performing calculations for weight, stability, and structures in shipbuildings;
Conducting feasibility and risk analyses on the initial design;
Preparing order lists and technical specifications for purchase orders;
Supporting approval processes from customers, classification societies, and national authorities;
Coordinating outsourced work to subcontractors;

What you need

You have a secondary vocational degree (level 4) with relevant working experience;
You have excellent communication skills in the English language, both written and verbal;
You are interested in innovation and new technology;
You have experience with AutoCAD, Rhino, and/or Nupas-Cadmatic;
You have experience with Maxsurf or Siemens NX;
You are a team player, effective in planning and organizing, eager to learn, and result-oriented;
You are eligible to work in Europe/the Netherlands
