Structural Engineer (Superyachts)Are you a expert user of 3D design software and do you have good constructive insight? Have you always dreamed of being a designer in the luxury yacht building industry? U-People is offering this opportunity so keep on reading!
Function
As a Structural Designer you will be involved in the design and 3D modelling of all kind of structures of super yachts. This could be the superstructure (the accommodation on the ship) but also the ship’s structure itself. Specials doors, hatches and platforms for launching tenders, designing structural solutions for placing all kind of equipment, spa’s helidecks, etc, etc. You coordinate your own work, you are proactive identifying challenges and coming up with solutions.
Requirements
- At least Mbo-4 but we prefer Bsc (Mechanical, Industrial design or shipbuilding);
- Excellent user of high-end 3D design software (such as NX, Catia, Inventor, SolidEdge etc) we prefer NX of CadMatic;
- Experience in shipbuilding is a plus but not a must;
- Passion for ships and yachts;
- Only EU candidates will be accepted for this role.
