Are you a seasoned leader in structural engineering, ready to guide and mentor a dynamic team to deliver cutting-edge naval projects? A leading company in the naval industry is looking for a Senior Team Lead for Structural Engineering to ensure the efficient execution of high-quality engineering processes and effective team management throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities:

 Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team focused on structural design and implementation. Oversee structural engineering activities during the basic engineering phase of complex projects and manage outsourced packages during detailed engineering. Provide support to the production team during the build phase, specifically on structural engineering aspects. Manage resource planning and day-to-day operations for your team, ensuring effective short- and medium-term scheduling. Define and structure work breakdowns and tasks within the structural engineering discipline. Ensure the timely delivery of high-quality engineering outputs and services in line with project goals. Encourage cross-functional collaboration to drive the best possible project solutions. Ensure all work complies with applicable rules, regulations, and industry norms while harmonizing efforts with other team leads. Supervise and validate engineering outputs to ensure adherence to established company standards. Facilitate knowledge sharing, track industry developments, and incorporate best practices into the team’s operations. Manage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including vendors and subcontractors. Lead project planning, design execution, and gate reviews to meet project objectives. Conduct design verifications and technical assessments of team deliverables and vendor proposals. Contribute to employee performance appraisals and the transfer of knowledge within the department. Drive continuous improvement of departmental processes for enhanced efficiency.Functie-eisen
 A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with at least seven years of relevant experience in structural engineering, preferably in naval or offshore projects. Proven experience in structural engineering, especially in naval projects, including collaboration with vendors, regulatory bodies, and subcontractors. Extensive knowledge of engineering principles and practices, with proficiency in 2D and 3D PLM tools (preferably 3DX). Demonstrated success in leading small to medium-sized engineering teams. Fluency in both Dutch and English, both written and spoken.

Additional Information
