GKN Fokker Aerospace in Hoogeveen is looking for a Design Engineer to contribute to the design and development of high-end aerospace components. A role where technology, innovation, and quality come together in an active, international environment.

The Design Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing technical solutions for defense-related products. The focus is on creating components that meet the highest standards for quality, performance, and durability.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage technical solutions and compliance documentation according to customer, regulatory, and airworthiness requirements.
• Analyze and resolve technical issues within program, time, and production constraints.
• Execute method plans and apply appropriate design approaches.
• Prepare technical solutions as input for quotations and customer proposals.
• Identify and assess technical risks and propose mitigation measures.
• Support or create test specifications and alternative means of compliance (analysis/similarity) to demonstrate that the design meets certification requirements.
• Develop cost-effective and manufacturable designs using DFMA principles.

Gevraagd

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with composite structures design is a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience in engineering project teams.
• Proven experience with CATIA software.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to a diverse audience.
• Strong organizational skills and a collaborative mindset.
