Security
ASML’s security department protects and secures all of ASML’s physical and digital assets and is pivotal to their customer and supplier relationships. Publicly led by Chief Information Security Officer Dirk van der Horst, it provides first and second line security services and is part of the Risk and Business Assurance (RBA) department. The team delivers global centralized security services through its Operations Center, cyberthreat prevention, and security technology. The second line security team, which the Senior Manager of Information and Data will join, provides the security strategy and roadmap, assesses risks, monitors compliance, and ensures policies and frameworks are up-to-date with new insights and regulations. Overall, the Security Community consists of more than 250 professionals that strengthen the protection of the ASML’s assets and those of their stakeholders to maintain their market position and achieve ambitious growth goals.

The Senior Manager of Information and Data Security plays a significant role within ASML’s Security Leadership Team by ensuring the safety of ASML’s most important risk domains. In this dynamic role, the Senior Manager will design, develop, and maintain advanced risk management frameworks and collaborate with security professionals and Sector Security Representatives to drive information security, and verify ASML’s security controls’ performance.

The Senior Manager will join ASML’s second line security team, report directly to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and collaborate with teams of four other Senior Managers specializing in IT Security, Product Security, ICS/OT Security, and Physical Security Services.

This role is crucial and strategic, requiring decisiveness and confidence in making impactful decisions. Their responsibilities span across all business processes, from product development, R&D, to sales and marketing. The Senior Manager’s vision will drive the execution of ASML’s Information and Data Security Risk Control Strategy. Working closely with the CDO, they will establish and maintain data classification standards, ensuring clarity on what information is critical and non-critical, and collaborating across the organization to refine data governance practices.

This position will tackle new challenges and solve problems collaboratively in a creative and supportive environment. Business and people savvy, the Senior Manager builds trust and fosters successful relationships with a variety of public stakeholders and third parties. Confident and knowledgeable, they stimulate buy-in and influence the adoption and compliance with security controls across ASML. An excellent communicator, they understand how to navigate complex situations and easily manage multiple stakeholders and tasks simultaneously.
