Private equity-backed growth and innovation
Supported by private equity investor KKR, Landal is pursuing ambitious growth goals through both organic expansion and strategic acquisitions. The company is set to open its new headquarters in Amsterdam, where roughly four hundred employees will work to drive innovation and integration. In the summer of 2024, a new leadership team was installed, with Mikael Andersson as the new CEO. Under this new leadership and with a future-focused strategy, Landal is well positioned to expand its market presence and deliver exceptional holiday experiences across Europe.

Landal is appointing a Head of Investment Management to oversee the investment analysis for new real estate developments, refurbishments, and franchise rollouts, ensuring alignment with the company’s business objectives. Collaborating closely with the Chief Development Officer, the Head of Investment Management structures real estate transactions and evaluates financing options, ranging from traditional debt and equity to more complex financial solutions. Leading negotiations with financial institutions and alternative lenders to secure funding, the Head of Investment will also drive due diligence and risk assessments for major projects.

This includes assessing the feasibility of new projects, evaluating returns on completed investments, and monitoring yields across the asset portfolio. The Head of Investment Management ensures that every financial decision is carefully weighed against long-term business objectives. Staying ahead of regulatory changes in real estate financing and corporate governance forms another critical component of the position.

Beyond transactional responsibilities, this role serves as a strategic advisor to the executive team and the CFO, to whom they report directly. By continuously monitoring market trends, regulatory developments, and risk factors, the Head of Investment Management provides informed recommendations on funding strategies and investment decisions. Internally, they work closely with teams like treasury, legal, development, and operations to ensure alignment between financial structuring and operational execution.
