Security
ASML’s Security department protects and secures all of ASML’s physical and digital assets and is pivotal to their customer and supplier relationships. They provide both first and second line security services, led by Chief Information Security Officer, Dirk van der Horst, and are part of the Risk and Business Assurance (RBA) department. The team delivers global centralized security services through its Operations Center, cyberthreat prevention, and security technology. The second line security team, which the Senior Manager of ICS/OT Security will join, delivers the security strategy and roadmap, assesses security risks, monitors compliance, and ensures policies and frameworks are up-to-date with new insights and regulations. The Security Community consists of more than 250 professionals across ASML. They strengthen the protection of the company’s assets and those of their stakeholders to maintain their market position and achieve ambitious growth goals.

As a pivotal member of ASML’s Security Leadership Team, the Senior Manager of ICS/ OT Security ensures the robust security and integrity of ASML’s critical Operational Technology (OT) and Industrial Control Systems (ICS). Leading the charge to develop and implement cutting-edge OT/ICS security measures, they will oversee system and network security, vulnerability management, and more. Their mission is clear: to protect processes, people, and profit by minimizing security vulnerabilities and incidents, and safeguard the core of ASML’s operations and that of their partners.

The Senior Manager will join ASML’s Security Leadership Team, report directly to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and collaborate with teams specializing in IT Security, Product Security, Information and Data Security, and Physical Security Services. They will provide guidance to sectors across ASML, transforming external trends into actionable security strategies.

The Senior Manager of ICS/OT Security’s directive is crucial and strategic, requiring decisiveness and confidence in making impactful decisions. Their vision will drive the execution of ASML’s OT/ICS Security Risk Control Strategy. They design and maintain robust defense mechanisms and cybersecurity solutions that are preventive and responsive, and identify and mitigate potential threats before they affect the system. By ensuring that responsive measures are in place, the Senior Manager will contain and neutralize any threats that breach the initial defenses, safeguarding the seamless and secure operation of ASML’s critical processes.

Business and people savvy, the Senior Manager builds trust and fosters successful relationships with a variety of stakeholders and third parties. An excellent communicator, they navigate complex situations and easily manage multiple stakeholders and tasks simultaneously. To succeed, the Senior Manager is knowledgeable about key security frameworks like ISO 27001, NIST, SANS, and ISA/IEC 62443 and with project management methodologies such as Prince2, PMBoK, APMP, and MSP. They have deep market knowledge and stay up-to-date with emerging trends in the OT/ICS security domain, integrating relevant innovations into ASML’s security strategy.
