In this role, you will receive a competitive salary between €3561 and €4273, work in an international environment, and have plenty of room for initiative.

As a Financial Accountant in Zaandam, you play a crucial role within the finance department. You are responsible for processing daily bank transactions in various currencies, preparing payment orders, and processing incoming invoices. You will be involved in preparing sales invoices and managing accounts receivable. You will have regular contact with customers (debtors and creditors), mainly via email. You will handle monthly/quarterly VAT returns for different countries. Additionally, you will carry out control activities at the end of the month and prepare (monthly) management reports.

You will work with a team of 4 colleagues in the financial department. The workplace language is English, but most of the office staff speak Dutch. It can sometimes get busy, especially at the end of the month when management reports are being prepared, but you will always maintain an overview and work accurately.

Our client is a leading chain manager in natural rubber, with over 15,000 employees and offices, factories, and logistics assets in 54 cities worldwide. Their activities are focused on the marketing and distribution of natural rubber and latex. Clients include multinational tire manufacturers, representative purchasing organizations, and companies that produce specialized rubber products.

As a Financial Accountant, you will be part of a team known for its flexibility and proactivity. The office is centrally located, easily accessible by public transport, and parking is available.

• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
• A relevant MBO4 or HBO diploma
• Experience with VAT returns
• Experience with Microsoft Office and MS Dynamics (preferred)
• Team player with strong organizational skills
• Fluent in Dutch and English

• A salary between €3561 and €4273 per month
• Travel reimbursement of €0.23 per kilometer (max. €350 per month)
• Possibility to work one day a week from home

• Temporary contract with the intention of permanent employment
