As a SOC Analyst, you work in our tierless IT SOC. You are a seasoned all-rounder with a focus on triage and incident handling. By participating in the security incident response roster, you play a crucial role in analyzing and handling security incidents from both the organization and the SIEM. You are also willing to fulfill standby duties. Together with your colleagues from the SOC team, you contribute to continuously improving processes and monitoring, through detection engineering or using new threat intel.

These are your responsibilities:

• Daily operations: You contribute to triage and response activities (reactive) and hunting (proactive) as part of daily detection and response activities.
• Perform detailed triage and determine the severity and impact of security incidents.
• Coordinate and execute incident response actions, including containment, mitigation, and recovery.
• Collaborate with various teams within the organization to quickly respond to and recover from security incidents.
• Maintain and keep incident response procedures and playbooks up to date.
• Document incidents and response actions, including root cause analysis and recommendations for improvements.
• Collect and analyze threat intelligence to proactively improve security measures.
• Provide technical support and expertise to junior SOC analysts and other members of the security team.
• Continuous improvement: You recognize and signal improvements in people, processes, and technology and implement them together with the team.
• Internal and external collaboration: Maintain contact with internal stakeholders of monitored systems and external parties such as the NCSC. Collaborate with other experts within Enexis in the field of cybersecurity and with the OT SOC for continuous improvement.

As a SOC Analyst, you are a strong team player who collaborates effectively, shares knowledge, and supports the team in developing skills and expertise. With your problem-solving approach, you can quickly respond to incidents and resolve them effectively. You have experience working in a SOC environment and collaborating with various IT and security teams. You stay constantly updated on the latest security product developments, threats, and security trends, allowing you to act proactively and continuously improve our security strategies.

Furthermore, you have:

• At least MBO4 working and thinking level with a background in Information Technology, Computer Science, or another IT education.
• At least 1 year of work experience in a SOC environment.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity, threat landscape, incident response, and SOC. Experience working in a SIEM. Experience with Microsoft security tooling and knowledge of cloud environments and cloud-native technology is a plus.

Good to know

After your application, you will receive an email with more information about the procedure. You tackle this challenge with... Your colleagues from the SOC Team. Together with your fellow SOC analysts and the SOC lead, you form a team with colleagues you work closely with. You work together at least one day a week at the location in Weert. Sometimes you also work in Den Bosch or Zwolle if necessary. Of course, it is also possible to work from home.
