What will you be doing?

As a Solutions Engineer, you are responsible for pre-sales and design. You combine technical insight with a deep understanding of customer needs to co-create thoughtful, future-focused solutions. You play a key role in shaping proposals that are as innovative as they are practical, bringing value through creativity, clarity, and collaboration.

Working closely with the Sales Manager and cross-functional teams, you design warehouse concepts, guide technical conversations, and ensure each proposal delivers on both feasibility and customer value.

Your key contributions:

• Translate customer requirements into tailored proposals that balance innovation, efficiency, and cost.
• Design warehouse layouts and workflows, combining technical precision with strong business understanding.
• Partner with sales, engineering, and finance teams to build solutions that are technically strong and commercially compelling.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales process, building confidence and clarity.
• Support a smooth transition of successful projects to the delivery and execution teams.

Who are we looking for?

You are curious, collaborative, and solution oriented. You enjoy engaging with people and ideas, and you are energized by turning complex challenges into well-structured, customer-friendly answers.

We are looking for someone with:

• A degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Automation, Electro-mechanical, or Logistical Engineering or a comparable technical background.
• 2+ years of experience in a role that bridges technical and commercial work.
• Excellent communication and active listening skills. You enjoy understanding what people really need.
• A self-starting mindset. You take initiative, ask questions, and seek smart solutions.
• Willingness to travel internationally (around 4 days/month).
• Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).

About the team

The Customer Centre Warehouse Solutions International (CC WS INT) is active throughout the world. The Sales organization of WS INT is organized in different market segments: Food / Parts & Components and General Merchandise & Fashion.

To keep pace with the current and expected future growth, we are looking for a Sales Engineer in the Food/Parts & Components team. Your contribution will further increase the Vanderlande market coverage and successfully develop the Food/Parts & Components market segment.

This position offers a competitive salary range of € 4.500, – to €6.000,-  gross per month (excluding 8% holiday allowance). Through exceeding performance expectations, you even have the possibility to grow outside this scale.
