Our client provides a wide range of consumer products, including dairy drinks, infant food, cheese, and desserts, across numerous European countries as well as in Asia and Africa. Additionally, they supply professional customers with cream and butter products for bakeries and catering companies. Furthermore, our client manufactures ingredients and semi-finished products for infant nutrition, the food industry, and the pharmaceutical sector globally.
 
Role Overview
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Manager to join our clients at their Leeuwarden site.  The Quality Manager ensures that all products meet safety, legal, and quality standards while fostering a collaborative work environment. This role involves leadership, stakeholder management, and driving continuous quality improvements.
 
Key Responsibilities
-Lead and develop the Site QA/QC team, creating an environment where employees can thrive and reach their full potential.
-Develop and implement the Quality Strategy for our client's Leeuwarden site, aligning it with global QA/QC objectives.
-Ensure compliance with our client's Quality Management Process, Standards, and Systems, as well as regulatory requirements.
-Drive a quality mindset within the organization, owning QA processes and internal/external audits.
-Measure and report QA performance metrics, ensuring transparency and continuous improvement.
-Manage quality incidents and proactively lead on food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
-Represent the QA function within the Site Management Team, contributing to strategic site-wide decisions.
 
Requirements
-Academic degree in Food Technology or a related field.
-Minimum 10+ years of experience in quality and quality assurance, preferably within the food industry.
-Strong knowledge of Lean Sigma improvement techniques and experience with business change management processes.
-Excellent communication skills at all levels, with experience in stakeholder management.
-Demonstrated transformational leadership and coaching skills to drive team performance.
-Fluency in Dutch and English.
-Located  1 hour driving distance from Leeuwarden.
