Engineering Project Manager – Hoofddorp, Netherlands
About the company
Our client, a fast-growing biotech leader in cell therapy, is looking for a skilled Engineering Project Manager to join their team in Hoofddorp. This role plays a key part in driving technical projects that support cutting-edge manufacturing for life-saving treatments.
What You'll Do
-Take charge of engineering projects from planning to handover—covering equipment, utilities, and facility upgrades
-Lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget
-Prepare business cases, manage capital investments, and drive execution
-Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external partners
-Identify and manage risks, ensuring full compliance with industry and regulatory standards
-Share updates, solve issues, and keep teams aligned throughout the project lifecycle
What You Bring
-A degree in Engineering or Technology (BSc/MSc)
-5+ years of project management experience in technical/regulated industries (e.g. pharma, biotech, medical devices, food, chemicals)
-Strong knowledge of GMP environments and validation processes
-Solid understanding of project tools (e.g., MS Project) and methodologies (CAPM, PMP, PRINCE2 preferred)
-Excellent communication, team leadership, and problem-solving skills
