Are you an enthusiastic student studying Economics, Business Administration, or Accountancy looking for hands-on experience in Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC)? Are you looking for an engaging internship where you can directly contribute to the performance and compliance of Renewi? We are looking for a Risk, Control & Audit intern!

Internship Risk, Internal Control & Audit

Amersfoort

Starting in February 2025

As an intern, you will work closely with Renewi’s Risk and Internal Audit team. You will support the Manager of Risk & Internal Control and Internal Auditors in improving business processes and ensuring compliance with internal controls. You will also help improve RiskDelta, our tool for monitoring key controls and audits.

What will you do?

• Help ensure that internal (key) controls are executed on time.
• Support in improving internal processes and the risk management system (RiskDelta).
• Assist in carrying out internal audits and documenting findings.
• Investigate business functions to check whether operations and controls meet goals.
• Analyse issues and errors, draft recommendations, and suggest improvements.
• Prepare clear and easy-to-understand audit reports.
• Share urgent concerns with the Internal Audit Function (IAF) when necessary.

You will work with local teams like Site Management, Controllers, and specialists in areas such as IT, legal, or safety. There may also be opportunities to collaborate with external auditors or advisors.

Your profile:

We are looking for someone who is:

• Currently studying for a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Accountancy, or a related field.
• Able to analyse processes and ask the right questions.
• Comfortable working with different teams and communicating clearly.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.
• Experience in areas like operations, finance, or IT is helpful but not required.
