Role description
As an Associate Scientist in the Global Poultry R&D department, you will support research projects aimed at developing vaccines for poultry. Working under the guidance of senior scientists, you will contribute to test method development, execution of laboratory and animal studies, and data analysis in a collaborative, international environment.

Responsibilities

• Support virological, bacteriological, or parasitic vaccine research projects
• Plan, execute, and report lab and animal studies in collaboration with project leads
• Develop and validate in-vitro and in-vivo test methods
• Follow Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and EHS compliance protocols
• Collaborate closely with production, quality control, and animal research teams
• Document procedures and results accurately and maintain lab records
• Participating in cross-functional project meetings and contributing to team goals

• Bachelor’s degree (HLO) in Life Sciences or a related field
• Hands-on lab experience in virology or molecular biology
• Familiarity with GLP and SHE guidelines is an advantage
• Affinity with vaccine development is a plus
• Strong team player with excellent communication and documentation skills
• Fluent in English (spoken and written); Dutch is a plus
