Role description
As a Technical Laboratory Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting scientific and medical laboratory operations. This position involves conducting technical tests, managing complex systems, and ensuring the smooth functioning of laboratory activities under moderate supervision to meet research and development objectives.

Responsibilities

• Perform highly technical mechanical or diagnostic tests in medical or scientific laboratories.
• Prepare materials and equipment, ensuring readiness and functionality for experiments.
• Assist in designing and executing experimental trials under supervision, making necessary adjustments.
• Collect, calculate, and automate data, presenting results in clear, organized formats.
• Maintain detailed records in lab journals, explaining work conducted and noting discrepancies.
• Monitor experiments for differences, analyze results, and provide commentary as needed.
• Support daily laboratory operations, including equipment management, troubleshooting, and cleanup.
• Order products, manage inventory, and ensure an organized and safe lab environment.

• Technical Certificate in a relevant field or equivalent hands-on laboratory experience.
• Strong safety record and meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficiency in conducting technical or diagnostic tests and managing laboratory equipment.
• Ability to collect, analyze, and present data accurately.
• Familiarity with experimental design and trial execution.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under moderate supervision.
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written); Dutch is a plus.
