Job description

Do you possess in-depth experience across the full spectrum of Health, Safety, and Environment, including hygiene, chemical safety, noise and vibration control, and ergonomics? Main responsibilities

Drive Safety Excellence: 
•    Take the lead in shaping and implementing the safety strategy within the aerostructures business line, translating complex legislation into clear, practical guidelines that protect people.

Expert Assessment & Improvement: 
•    Utilize your expertise to conduct crucial exposure assessments for chemical, noise, and vibration risks
•    Evaluate ergonomic challenges and develop solutions that support the diverse needs of our workforce 
•    Lead thorough incident investigations, identifying root causes and implementing effective preventive actions

Champion Action & Awareness: 
•    Plan and execute essential annual HSE activities, including Risk Inventories & Evaluations (RI&E), audits, and health monitoring programs (PMO/PAGO) 
•    Maintain meticulous safety data, ensuring timely follow-up on findings and driving continuous improvement
Inform, Influence, and Advise: 
•    Serve as the trusted internal expert for all safety-related matters, providing critical guidance to teams across the organization
•    Prepare essential reports for government bodies, ensuring transparency and compliance
•    Regularly update leadership on key risks, emerging trends, and progress towards our safety goals.

Job requirements
•    A Bachelor's degree (HBO level) or Master’s degree, providing a strong base for understanding complex technical and regulatory environments.
•    A completed HVK or NEBOSH degree, demonstrating your in-depth knowledge and commitment to safety practices.
•    General knowledge of occupational hygiene principles, with a willingness and readiness to pursue a degree in this specialized area, expanding your impact on employee health.
•    A solid understanding of relevant legislation and regulations, particularly the nuances of the Working Conditions Act(Arbeidsomstandighedenwet), to ensure compliance and best practices.
•    Insight into organizational HSE policies and how they are developed and implemented to create a safe working culture.
•    The ability to communicate clearly and persuasively, both in writing and verbally, in both Dutch and English, to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders, from the workshop floor to senior leadership and external bodies.
•    A good understanding of business processes, the associated employee risks, and the strategies to effectively mitigate them, proactively protecting our workforce.
•    Familiarity with relevant procedures, company rules, and personnel safety regulations that are key to successfully navigating and influencing safety within the organization.
