Hyster-Yale heeft al 90 jaar ervaring in het ontwerpen en bouwen van kleinere pallet trucks tot aan de grootste jumbo trucks (52 ton) en is een global opererende organisatie en heeft sinds de jaren ‘50 een locatie in Nederland/Nijmegen. Hyster-Yale ontwerpt, assembleert, verkoopt en levert service aan heftrucks (8-52 ton) onder de merknamen Hyster en Yale. Er zijn in Nijmegen twee assemblagelijnen voor de grootste trucks in de range: de Big Truck line en Jumbo Truck line. Op de locatie in Nijmegen werken ruim 750 mensen verdeeld over drie divisies: 400 mensen in de manufacturing, 200 bij het Big Truck Development Centre (Engineering) en ruim 150 bij de After Market (after sales) organisatie. 

De sfeer binnen Hyster-Yale Nijmegen is open en informeel. Men hanteert een coachende manier van leidinggeven. Je krijgt relatief snel verantwoordelijkheid en je staat zelf aan het roer van jouw persoonlijke en vakinhoudelijke ontwikkeling.

The primary role of the Service Engineer is to be the main point of contact for internal and external communication regarding technical and application-related issues and questions concerning all Big Truck products, with a specific focus on electrification.

As a Product Service Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of the trucks by:

• Diagnosing and resolving technical service issues efficiently.
• Coordinating with internal teams to implement timely solutions and prevent future issues.
• Providing expert support to dealers and customers in troubleshooting and problem resolution.
• Assisting with commissioning and construction, ensuring smooth truck deliveries.
• Supporting new technologies during technical development and first production at customer sites.
• Contributing to product development projects to enhance serviceability.
• Delivering technical training to dealers and end customers on product operation.
• Collaborating with the training department to develop instructional materials.

• Completed HBO education in Automotive Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years experience in the forklift industry or a similar product, - agricultural vehicles or automotive industry.
• Some of the work takes place at the end user, for which travel is necessary. Occasionally, travel outside of working hours is required.
• Previous experience in a customer-facing role is an advantage.
• Proficient in English language.

Hyster-Yale falls under the collective labor agreement for the metal and electrical industry and uses a market-conform, transparent classification per position.

Other employment conditions and extras:

• 8% holiday allowance
• 27 days of leave plus 13 ADV days per year with a full-time employment contract
• Possibility to sell 6 ADV days per year, being 2.3% salary
• Possibility to buy (plus 10) or sell (minus 6) vacation days
• PME pension fund (mandatory participation in accordance with collective labor agreement)
• Possibility for hybrid working (in consultation with manager, maximum 2 days per week with full-time employment, if position permits)
• Gross/net benefit (Fiscfree), such as purchase of bicycle, gym membership, etc.
• Flexible working hours, where you can start your working day between 7:00 am and 9:30 am (if the position allows it)
• Travel allowance of €0.19 cents per KM, with a max of 30 KM one way (the first 7.5 KM are not included) with a max allowance of €11.40 EUR per day
• After starting, you will have access to the employee handbook containing all the above-mentioned and additional information, such as discounts on insurance, company health care package, etc.
