Senior Buyer

We are looking for a Senior Buyer to own strategic sourcing and supplier negotiations for complex engineering projects, securing on-time, on-spec, and cost-effective delivery across EPC phases while partnering closely with engineering, planning, logistics, and QA/QC.

Tasks & responsibilities:

• Lead strategic sourcing for critical materials, equipment, and services across multiple work packages.
• Run RFx (RFI/RFQ/RFP), build bids tabs, perform TCO analysis, and recommend awards on cost/schedule/technical fit.
• Negotiate contracts (frameworks, T&Cs, LDs, warranties, Incoterms) and set/manage supplier KPIs.
• Align with engineering/QA to freeze specs, ITPs and quality requirements, coordinate clarifications and commercial TBEs.
• Own the procurement schedule; expedite, mitigate risks, and recover slippage to protect milestones and budget.
• Manage supplier performance, claims/variations and continuous-improvement actions.
• Keep ERP/PO data and documentation audit-ready, support monthly cost forecasting.
• Develop frame agreements and supplier panels to strengthen category strategies.

Gevraagd

• 10+ years in project procurement/sourcing within offshore, maritime, energy or heavy engineering.
• Strong EPC/EPCI buying of technical products & services (e.g., switchgear/UPS, valves, rotating/static equipment, cables, structures, HVAC, instrumentation).
• Proven negotiation record and supplier relationship management.
• Fluent working with multi-disciplinary teams (engineering, PMO, logistics, QA/QC, finance, legal).
• Proficient with RFx, bid evaluations, TCO, and ERP (SAP/IFS/Oracle or similar).
