You start the day with your team in a nice and modern office! As a Seafreight Customer Service Representative, you will be the primary point of contact for your valued clients, ensuring their seafreight shipments are handled efficiently and professionally. You will play a crucial role in building strong customer relationships. You are also responsible for:

  • Preparing quotes and rates.
  • Processing and managing seafreight bookings and documentation.
  • Guiding and handling export shipments.
  • Daily communication with customers, transporters, and international partners.
  • Providing timely and accurate updates to customers on the status of their shipments.
  • Handling customer inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinating with internal departments (operations, sales, etc.) and external partners (carriers, agents, customs) to ensure smooth shipment processing.
  • Preventing demurrage and detention.
  • Administrative handling of files.

Gevraagd

To qualify for the position of Customer Service Seafreight, we hope you bring the following knowledge and skills:

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in customer service, preferably in logistics or seafreight.
  • MBO work and thinking level, preferably in the field of logistics or transport.
  • Excellent communication skills in English. The primary language in the office is English. Dutch is a plus.
  • A proactive and customer-oriented attitude.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of Incoterms is a plus.
  • You already live in the Netherlands (Rotterdam and surrounding).
