In our current Way-of-Working during month end closing and forecast / budget processes we have several service control streams which take a lot of manual work. We are looking for optimizing/automate this control, but still assure proper service control is performed and can be relied on.

Your assignment will focus on analysing, optimizing, and automating these financial control processes, while ensuring accuracy and reliability remain top priorities. You will gain hands-on experience in financial process improvement within a dynamic, international environment, and contribute directly to the digital transformation of our service finance operations.

By the end of your internship, you delivered improvements that reduce manual workload and enhance the accuracy and speed of our financial reporting.

We are currently with a team of 4 experienced finance & control persons (2 male / 2 female) but in this role you’ll also work with other teams/people across the world. You can learn from our experienced colleagues to kickstart your career in Finance.

• Analyse the current manual financial control processes during monthly closings, forecasts, and budget cycles
• Identify key control steps and map out inefficiencies or time-consuming activities
• Propose and implement opportunities for process optimization and automation
• Evaluate and test new automation tools or scripts
• Document improvements and ensure process standardization and repeatability
• Collaborate with international finance teams and IT colleagues to ensure alignment
• Create clear reporting or dashboards to track financial performance and control metrics
• Assist in change management and internal communication around new workflows

• You are currently enrolled in a study related to Finance and Control, Business Economics, Accountancy, or Financial Management
• You are enthusiastic about financial analysis, process improvement, and data-driven decision-making
• You are proficient in Microsoft Excel and have experience or interest in automation tools
• You are proactive, independent, and hands-on in your approach
• You are eager to learn, ask critical questions, and are not afraid to challenge the status quo
• You communicate clearly and enjoy working in a collaborative, international environment
• You are fluent in Dutch or English (fluency in both is a plus)

*Mandatory enrolment to a Dutch Education System & resident of The Netherlands.
