Function content

We are looking for a motivated Transport Employee / customs Employee for our client Belden in Venlo. Are you interested in managing incoming and outgoing goods flows in the field of invoicing, documentation, registrations, control, advice, timeliness, and optimizing shipments within and outside the EU? Then we are looking for you! You will work in a team of five colleagues.

Your tasks and responsibilities will include:

Transport:
• Aligning priorities in order processing with transporters and internal stakeholders.
• Organizing and coordinating transport within and outside the EU.
• Checking transport orders and liaising with selected transporters.
• Maintaining contact with various departments regarding the transport of goods.
• Checking transport and customs documents for completeness, processability, and conformity with the ready-to-ship transports.
• Maintaining contact with the Chamber of Commerce regarding the import and export of products.
• Organizing and supervising customs checks at the warehouse location.

Administration:
• Issuing invoices to customers.
• Administrative processing of transport documents.
• Supporting the optimization of work processes.
• Preparing the necessary transport and border documents using an automated system.
• Evaluating and handling complaints/deviations and communicating the solution to internal stakeholders.

Function requirements

You have an MBO+/HBO level of education and work experience in a similar position; Knowledge of ERP systems and MS Office applications; Organizational and multitasking skills; Ability to work independently and as part of a team; Reliability in maintaining strict customer confidentiality; Good customer service skills; Flexibility; Ability to work under pressure; You are available full-time. Good knowledge of the English Language. This is position for 32-40 hours
