Internship – Sustainability reporting Water & Wastewater

The internship

HEINEKEN committed to becoming net zero carbon by 2030 (scope 1&2) and to reduce its water usage significantly.

To achieve this ambition, we run multiple projects, and we want to measure the impact of those projects. That’s when accurate sustainability reporting is essential.  As part of this internship, you will support sustainability reporting, coordinate the overall process, provide supporting materials, manage different stakeholders, and review data accuracy and performance.

In this internship you will have the opportunity to:

·       Enhance our data flows and reporting systems against Global Reporting standards, like CSRD

·       Provide performance and compliance insights based on our (waste) water data

·       Create engaging training material and supporting documentation on (waste) water reporting for our production sites

·       Support HEINEKEN Operating companies worldwide with their sustainability reporting

The department

The Sustainable Production department (part of Global Production, Supply Chain) consists of a multidisciplinary team, working on different subjects of sustainability of our operations such as water and energy usage, decarbonization, wastewater management and reporting. The team is made up of professionals from different countries, expertise and academic background with all one goal to make our operations more sustainable


The terms of employment

·       Your starting date is 1 September 2025

·       The internship is full time

·       The duration of the internship is 6 months

·       It is a practice-oriented internship

·       You will be based at our offices at Schiphol Airport

·       During your internship, you have the flexibility to workin a hybrid setup

·       You will receive an internship fee of €650 gross pm based on 40 hours per week

·       You will enjoy 2 vacation days per month (based on full time)

·       If you do not have a student OV product, your commuting expenses will be fully reimbursed

 

 

 

 

The unique you!

We believe that everyone has unique talents and are therefore looking for you!

·       Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemical engineering, Biotechnology, Environmental Engineering or alike.

·       Passion for sustainability, improving efficiency of operations and making an impact on global scale

·       Skilled in Excel/ Power point and data analytics

·       Basic knowledge of water and wastewater treatment systems is a plus

Conditions of HEINEKEN

1.       You are enrolled at an educational institution.

a.       In the case of non-EU nationality, you must be registered as an intern with a Dutch educational institution, from which we receive proof of enrollment for the current academic year from you.

b.       In case of EU nationality, you may also be registered as an intern at educational institutions outside the EU.

2.       Living in the Netherlands during internship (HEINEKEN does not facilitate housing).
