This is how you take on the challenge
You’ll be part of our SOC team, working alongside experienced analysts. Your primary focus will be monitoring security events, analyzing potential threats, and playing a key role in our triage and incident handling process. This is a hands-on role where you will learn how to detect and respond to cyber incidents in real-time.

After you have built up experience within the cyber domain and the SOC, you will have the opportunity to expand your tasks and deepen your knowledge by contributing to detection engineering, threat intelligence assessments, and other activities aimed at continuously improving our SOC capabilities.

As a Young Professional SOC, you will receive an extensive development and guidance plan, so that you can grow and excel in your field. In addition to the substantive training plan, you will have the opportunity to participate in training focused on personal development, getting to know the organization better and your role as a professional. And the best of all? You will do this together with other juniors spread across Enexis, which will immediately build a pleasant internal network across the organization.

These are your responsibilities:

• Monitor and analyze security alerts from various systems (SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, etc.)
• Perform triage on incoming alerts to identify immediate threats
• Escalate incidents to senior analysts when required
• Assist in the initial handling of security incidents and support the steps of an incident like containment actions
• Help document incidents, procedures and create reports
• Continuously learn about new threats, vulnerabilities, and defense techniques
• Work together with other teams within Enexis and outside of the organization

What we’re looking for:

• At least a bachelor’s level of working and thinking (HBO) with a background in Information Technology, Computer Science, or another IT-related education
• You have a genuine interest in cyber security. Maybe you have even done some ethical hacking, played CTFs, or tinkered in your home lab
• You’re eager to learn, ask questions, and grow in the security field
• You are analytical, detail-oriented, and enjoy problem-solving
• Strong communication skills (you’ll work closely with the team)
• Fluent in English and Dutch
• Available to start on september 1st.

Good to know

After your application, you will receive an email with more information about the procedure. This usually consists of two interviews: a first (online) interview with the manager and recruiter and a second interview with your future colleagues on-site (Arnhem). A screening is part of the application process. This may include an assessment, reference checks, and a Certificate of Conduct (VOG). Together with your fellow SOC analysts and the SOC lead, you form a team of colleagues with whom you work closely. You work together on-site in Weert, the maximum traveltime is 1h. Occasionally, you may also have to work in Den Bosch. We provide a hybride way of working, the division between working from home and working from the office is about 50/50. We work at least one team collaboration day at the office per week.
