Role description
As an Associate Scientist, you will play a key role in supporting analytical testing within the Research & Development department. You'll be part of the laboratory operations team, focusing on sample analysis, method troubleshooting, and technical documentation. This temporary assignment offers a unique opportunity to deepen your expertise in a wide range of analytical techniques.
Key responsibilities
- Support the testing of samples from studies, projects, and investigations
- Assist with method co-validations and troubleshooting activities
- Prepare documentation to support study directors in reporting technical data
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date lab records in compliance with standards
- Perform lab assays, biomarker identification, and environmental monitoring
- Conduct tests such as growth promotion, endotoxin, bioburden, and microbial identification
- Analyze data, interpret results, and contribute scientific insights
- Operate lab equipment and prepare standards, reagents, and controls
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Analytical Chemistry
- Experience working in a GMP-regulated environment
- Hands-on experience with one or more of the following techniques:
Mass Spectrometry (MS), LC/MS, ELSD, cIEF, cSDS, SEC, A280 - Strong communication skills in English; Dutch is a plus
- Motivated, proactive, and able to work independently
- Analytical mindset with a strong focus on problem-solving
