Responsibilities

Develop and maintain web applications with a focus on performance and user experience.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
Ensure the scalability, security, and reliability of frontend applications.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth deployment processes.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve application performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
Optimize frontend applications for speed and responsiveness.

We are now looking for a frontend developer to join our team located at the Keizersgracht in the center of Amsterdam. Be our first in-house frontend tech hire and help shape our innovative marketplace to make work accessible for everyone globally.
We're currently working with an agency to develop our platform, and this will be our first internal FE position to grow the in-house tech team.
This is a unique opportunity to become part of a profitable, fast-growing company, where you’ll have the flexibility to define and build on the technical foundations of our business. The ideal candidate is passionate about frontend development, performance optimization, and user experience—with the potential to lead our future frontend team.

Wat wij vragen?
Technical skills

Proficiency in TypeScript and React.
Understanding of RESTful APIs and frontend interaction with microservices.
Strong grasp of frontend performance optimization techniques.
Experience with frontend testing frameworks.
Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Experience with containerization and frontend CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts is a plus.

Experience

>5 years of work experience with mainstream frontend frameworks.
Proven track record of developing scalable frontend applications.
Experience in designing and implementing user-friendly interfaces.
Demonstrated ability to work on complex projects from concept to deployment.
Experience in managing and optimizing frontend applications in cloud environments.

Soft skills

Strong problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Nice to have

Experience with marketplaces and AI-driven projects.
Understanding of generative AI for frontend interactions.
