As a Lead Front-End Engineer at TMC, you will own the front-end architecture of responsive web application, integrating microfrontends and data from various digital services, ERP, and CMS. You will set technical direction for front-end development across multiple teams and products, acting as the go-to expert for strategy, architecture, and maintainability. Your role involves guiding and mentoring front-end engineers, leading the Front-End Guild to align standards, promote reusability, and drive technical consistency. Collaborate with architects, product owners, designers, and engineering leads to influence product direction and ensure cohesive solutions. This leadership position offers broad influence across a Digital Service Platform.

• Technical Expertise: Own the front-end architecture and drive the implementation of best-in-class web engineering practices, performance, and scalability.
• Leadership: Set the technical direction for front-end development, guide and mentor a team of professionals, and lead the Front-End Guild.
• Collaboration: Partner with architects, product owners, designers, and engineering leads to influence product direction and ensure cohesive solutions.
• User Experience: Be a champion for user experience, modern tooling, and maintainable design systems.
• Development: Build and develop responsive web applications, participate in end-to-end development, and contribute to continuous integration efforts.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure code and design quality through reviews and testing, and stay up to date with new front-end technologies and best practices.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or similar.
• Proven experience as a Lead Front-End Engineer in Agile environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Recent experience with Angular 15+, Typescript, RxJS, NgRx/Redux, HTML5, CSS/SCSS.
• Cloud experience with major providers, preferably Azure.
• Strong understanding of programming paradigms, web standards, and accessibility.
• Experience with developer tooling, UX design/development, and design systems.
• Familiarity with OAuth2 and secure front-end applications.
• Mentoring experience and a track record of elevating team capability.

Nice to Have:

• GraphQL, CMS (Contentful), Cypress/Playwright, DevOps tooling for CI/CD.
• Understanding of back-end development in Java.
