Over deze vacature

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Conducting measurements (chemical emissions & food safety)
  • Evaluating measurement results and providing expert assessments regarding product safety during development
  • Developing measurement techniques
  • Considering legal requirements during measurement technology development
  • Maintaining and further developing GC-MS, GCxGC, and pyrolysis setups
  • Monitoring developments in the application area and, if necessary, deciding on their implementation
  • Documenting results and communicating them to stakeholders
Wat we van jou verwachten

We’re looking for a team player who has:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a comparable field.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in relevant fields such as analytical chemistry, chemical safety, or chemical engineering.
  • Experience in conducting GC-MS analyses and corresponding data interpretation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, creativity, and resourcefulness.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Willingness to learn additional techniques/measurement methods essential for product safety assessment.
  • Practical approach, proactive, flexible, and pragmatic mindset.
  • Proven communication and planning skills.

It is advantageous if you have:

  • Knowledge of thermal desorption, emission measurements, LC (UPLC, SEC).
  • Experience with scientific programming, e.g., Python, R, or Matlab with a focus on automation, chemometrics, and modelling – preferably in a laboratory environment – ​​is an advantage.
