For an organisation that makes modern patiënt treahtment possible, we are looking for a strong business development manager. The organisation has developed an advanced multi-use bioreactor system that enable the production of cutting-edge cell therapies — from living cells used as medicine to engineered tissue and organ fragments. With a lean and fast-moving team and a successful product launch with products on the market, it is the right moment to expand their team. We are looking for a driven Business Development Manager who likes to help the organisation grow and position the technology as the go-to choice for routine clinical production.

What you bring
As the Business Development Manager, you are responsible for converting potential opportunities into lasting client relationships. Your focus will be on organisations in early-phase clinical trials (phase 1 and 2) — the point at which long-term production decisions are made. Once selected, companies rarely switch platforms, making this a highly strategic role.
Key responsibilities:
- Proactively approach the market via your own network and qualified data from our marketing team.
- Collaborate with the Strategic Marketing Manager to identify high-value targets.
- Own the entire sales cycle from first contact to signed contract.
- Demonstrate and clearly convey the unique value of the bioreactor system.
- Close deals with biotech companies and academic centres in Europe and the US.
- Maintain short communication lines with the headquarters team.
- Travel approximately 20%, depending on opportunities and approach.
What's in it for you

You bring:
- 5+ years of experience in B2B life sciences or a related field.
- A proven hunter mentality with a track record of securing new clients.
- Preferably experience selling to biotech; experience in cell biology is a plus.
- Understanding of basic cell biology principles and GMP manufacturing processes.
- Experience engaging senior decision-makers (C-level, project leads).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Based in the Netherlands and available to work in the Utrecht region for several days a week.
- A self-starter who thrives in a small, fast-growing organisation.
- Note: we are also open for hires on a more senior level for a slightly different job profile.
