Functieomschrijving

Take charge of procurement and outsourcing activities across state-of-the-art naval shipbuilding programs. In this leadership role, you will guide a team of experienced procurement professionals, ensuring each purchase is seamlessly aligned with project objectives, cost parameters, quality benchmarks, and delivery schedules. You will be accountable for maintaining full adherence to all technical and commercial requirements, managing the complete sourcing process from initial strategy to final delivery. This is your chance to enforce robust supply chain practices and introduce process improvements that enhance overall project success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and coordinate all sourcing operations within assigned naval construction projects, including supplier vetting, selection, contract management, and post-contract support.• Guarantee that all supplier agreements are comprehensive, cost-conscious, and executed with precision, while ensuring uncompromised quality throughout.• Monitor supplier performance and project milestones closely, taking swift corrective actions and contributing to risk mitigation strategies when necessary.• Assess and develop the capabilities of both domestic and global vendors, with a focus on continuous improvement and long-term collaboration.• Lead a procurement category team, crafting and executing strategic plans for supplier management and engaging in thorough market analysis and vendor development.• Apply procurement frameworks consistently across the project lifecycle, while proposing clear, structured adjustments to existing procedures in collaboration with the procurement leadership.Functie-eisen
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant technical or business discipline, ideally complemented by a Nevi-2 certification or readiness to pursue it.• At least seven years of experience in procurement, including three to five years managing projects in a technically complex environment such as shipbuilding or engineering.• A proven track record of successfully guiding and motivating a team, with an emphasis on collaboration and performance excellence.• Strong grasp of project-based work and the ability to manage multiple deliverables under pressure.• Advanced knowledge of contractual frameworks, negotiation techniques, and commercial practices, with experience handling intricate supply agreements.• Familiarity with developing and implementing strategic sourcing models and supplier relationship initiatives.• Highly effective communicator and negotiator, capable of building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders alike.• Fluency in both Dutch and English is essential, both in written and spoken communication.• Applicants must provide strong professional references and pass a security clearance process.• Only candidates with a permanent European Union citizenship and EU passport will be considered; dual nationality or EU visa holders are not eligible due to the sensitive nature of the projects involved.Arbeidsvoorwaarden
