As a Senior Software Engineer Integration within our Engineering API team in IT, you bring your passion for technology, problem-solving mindset, and technical expertise to deliver scalable and impactful integration solutions.

Your key responsibilities 

• Develop and optimize API services and migrate or redevelop legacy services from ESB to a modern iPaaS platform 

• Contribute to the governance framework that accelerates API development 

• Design and build components for the API marketplace 

• Collaborate across internal and external teams to influence and enhance technology direction 

• Create integrations that link systems and business processes – with creativity and clarity 

• Interact across the business – from engineering to operations – to shape the future of integrations 

• Provide input into solution design, operations, test strategy and technical decisions 

• Ensure delivery of high-availability, business-critical systems 

• Communicate proactively with stakeholders at all levels to align priorities and expectations

Must-Have Skills and Qualifications 

• Strong experience in designing and building integrations between systems using REST APIs, web services, and messaging platforms 

• Expertise in system design, impact analysis, and documentation (e.g., UML, sequence diagrams) 

• Experience with API gateways, developer portals, marketplaces, and microservice-based architectures 

• Hands-on proficiency in Java (or C++) with demonstrable ability to design and build software from scratch

• Solid understanding of relational databases, SQL, and UNIX operating systems 

• Strong problem-solving and technical decision-making skills 

• Ability to take ownership and deliver highly available, production-grade solutions 

• Team-oriented mindset with a proven track record of collaborative delivery 

Nice-to-Have Skills 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field 

• Familiarity with iPaaS or middleware platforms (e.g., Tibco, TYK, Mulesoft, Kafka, Boomi) 

• Experience with cloud technologies, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps methodologies 

• Telecom domain knowledge
