As our Corporate Director Digital & Workplace Solutions, you hold a key leadership role, leading IT enablement and overseeing IT operations, enterprise automation, the Digital Solutions Centre, and facility management. Your mission is to provide a modern and secure IT infrastructure and working environment, where technology and knowledge can meet, that supports our teams to create value for our clients.
What you do as Corporate Director Digital & Workplace Solutions
You report directly to the Executive Board (CFO). You are a core member of the company's leadership team, shaping the firm’s future and influencing key decisions, ensuring alignment between IT systems, software and data and business objectives, and driving impactful digital innovations together with the business. The business takes the lead in defining strategic priorities, while you as the Director Digital & Workplace Solutions play a vital IT enabling role, providing the necessary systems, technology, tools, and workplace solutions to support and accelerate transformation.
You have a strong vision of the needs and requirements of a robust and future-proof IT enablement (systems, software and data) for the business, and you lead your team in making it happen. You ensure that our IT operations, enterprise automation and availability of master data are robust, cost-effective and act as a driver rather than a constraint. You will serve as a trusted advisor on technology, systems, software, master data, and facility operations. You will ensure the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, systems, and (data) platforms, optimizing security, reliability, scalability and cost-effectiveness.
You are responsible for:
Operational Excellence
- Oversee day-to-day IT and facility operations, ensuring high-quality service, cost-effectiveness, and responsiveness to business needs.
- Lead teams across IT, digital solutions, and facility management, fostering innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Implement robust cybersecurity, physical security and data protection policies, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and ensuring basic hygiene is in place.
Stakeholder & Client Engagement
- Work closely with internal business units, ensuring technology and facility solutions align with strategic goals and business needs.
- Collaborate with fellow Corporate Directors to co- drive process optimisation and enhance user experiences company wide.
- You work closely together with our Corporate Director Business Transformation and Director Digital Technology.
Financial & Resource Management
- Develop and manage budgets for IT, software and facility operations, maximizing efficiency and ROI.
- Oversee vendor relationships, negotiating contracts for optimal value and risk mitigation.
Facility Operations
- Manage global facility operations, including physical assets, security systems, digital infrastructure and optimised work environment that enhances employee engagement.

The department consists of over 180 colleagues globally in various roles, of which the majority (approximately 130 colleagues) are in the Netherlands.
What you bring
- Extensive experience in IT leadership and change, ideally within engineering, consultancy, or related industries.
- Proven success in IT business enablement and managing complex technological environments and costs.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity, data management, and regulatory compliance, incl organizational sensitivity and reputational awareness.
- Superior communication and presentation abilities, simplifying complexity and strong persuasiveness.
- A master's degree in information technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience working in an international setting supporting multiple countries.
- Having experience in overseeing facility operations is a plus.
