Heros is a company active in the production and sale of ecological secondary raw materials (produced after recycling different types of waste and construction materials), water treatment and port facilities.

Your role as a:

• Sorting Employee will check and sort different materials on the conveyor belt, recycling as much metal as possible to produce new materials. 
• Mechanical maintenance technician, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth production by maintaining our recycling facilities, carrying out preventive maintenance such as replacing and repairing bearings and pumps, and performing light electrical work. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting issues such as defective conveyor belts or faulty sensors. 

Work schedule: 

• Sorting Employee work from Monday to Friday in shifts from 06:00 to 14:30, 14:30 to 23:00 and 23:00 to 06:00. 
• Mechanical maintenance technician work alongside another mechanic as part of a permanent team. You work a five-shift schedule. This means you work two morning shifts, two afternoon shifts and two-night shifts, followed by four days off. Working hours are 06:00–14:15, 14:00–22:15, and 22:00–06:15. 

To succeed in this job, you should be:

• Have VCA certificate or willing to get one  
• Have experience in similar position  
• Ready and willing to obtain the following certifications: VOP, Telescopic Loader Operator, Forklift Operator and Elevator (Working Platforms) Certificate - for a mechanical maintenance technician.
• Good communication in English and/or Dutch
